Voice OTP delivery

What's new

The messaging endpoint now supports delivering a one-time passcode (OTP) as a voice call, in addition to SMS. Organizations that generate OTP codes in their own systems can pass the code to ID Dataweb and have it delivered over a voice channel.

Why it matters

Voice delivery extends OTP reach to landline phone numbers and to users who cannot receive SMS, and it supports accessibility requirements that text-only delivery does not meet. Organizations that already generate OTP codes in an upstream identity system can keep that logic where it lives and use ID Dataweb for delivery alone.

What you need to know

  • Voice OTP is requested through the same messaging endpoint already used for SMS delivery
  • Existing SMS delivery behavior is unchanged
  • API documentation will be updated to include request parameters and response handling ahead of the release

Enhanced automated failover for Resilient Checkers

What changed

We enhanced the internal automation that powers automated failover for Resilient Checkers, reducing operational complexity while preserving the same customer-facing behavior.

Why it matters

This strengthens the resilience benefits of Resilient Checkers by making failover easier to maintain and scale as additional providers are supported.

What you need to know

  • No action is needed on your part, though if you're interested in implementing Resilient Checkers, reach out to your account team.
  • There are no API or integration changes for customers.

Admin platform updates

Move policy decisions between sections. Policy decisions can now be moved between sections (for example, Approve to Deny, or Deny to Obligation) using a drag handle, and reordered within a section. Moving a decision into Obligation leaves the obligate-to field blank for you to set. Anyone with permission to update a workflow can update its policy configuration.

Search within cross-step policy component configuration. The cross-step policy component configuration modal now includes a search field on both the Input and Acquired Data tabs. Search values persist as you move between steps, and each tab retains its own search value when you switch between tabs. Checkers that return several hundred acquired attributes are now filterable rather than scrollable.

Configure SMS Link delivery method. Step configuration now includes a Link Delivery Method setting, with Email and SMS options; SMS is the default. The SMS Link API key building block displays the phone number field when SMS is selected and the email field when Email is selected, alongside the detail text field.

Messaging Templates list. The Messaging Templates tab now lists active templates only. Archived templates are no longer shown alongside them.

Platform improvements

  • Workflow deployment now removes steps that were created and then made inactive or archived before ever being deployed, keeping deployed workflows aligned with what is configured
  • Reporting and analytics access now carries team membership and account type, supporting team-scoped reporting for admin users
