Introducing Admin 2.0: A completely redesigned admin console

TL;DR: Admin 2.0 is a ground-up redesign of the ID Dataweb admin console, designed to show you what you need, where you need it. Browse and preview workflow and step templates built on the latest fraud intelligence and best practices before selecting the right one for your needs. Build and configure workflows visually in the new Builder. Configure and modify policies with an intuitive rule builder. Get instant clarity into what drove transaction outcomes. And customize the end-user experience in a more streamlined Design Studio. Your existing workflows continue to work as-is, and Admin V1 isn't going anywhere yet. But trust us – it's worth reading a bit deeper below.

Key dates:

May 21: Admin 2.0 will be deployed to the production environment during a scheduled maintenance window, but not yet visible to customers.

May 28: Admin 2.0 becomes generally available to customers.

What's Coming

This is our biggest console update to date! Admin 2.0 touches every part of how you build, manage, and investigate identity workflows, replacing the legacy console with a modern, streamlined experience. If you've ever found yourself clicking through multiple tabs and modals to configure a single workflow step, or trying to decipher exactly why a transaction resulted in a denial, this release is for you.

Admin 2.0 introduces countless redesigned capabilities. Some of our favorites are:

  • Builder – A visual, interactive workflow canvas where you build and configure workflows and their steps in one place, instead of jumping between separate tabs and modals.
  • Policy Manager – An intuitive rule builder to increase clarity while building and managing complex, nested rules, group templates, and real-time validation that catches and walks you through issues before deployment.
  • Transaction Details Report – Transaction investigation reimagined within the context of the workflow design and policies, with last-step-completed tracking and step-level drill-down into easy-to-navigate decisions, data, and logs.

We'll publish detailed release notes covering each of these capabilities and more next week.

What You Need to Know

What this means for you

We know change is hard! No one will be required to switch to Admin 2.0 before they're ready. All of your existing workflows will continue to be accessible in both the current Admin Console (Admin 1) and Admin 2.0 – nothing breaks and nothing disappears.

The core functionality you rely on isn't going away in Admin 2.0; it's getting a major upgrade. Admin 2.0 makes the workflows you already use easier to build, manage, and monitor. We'd love for you to check it out. Once you see the Builder, the Policy Manager, and the redesigned Transaction Report, we think you'll want to stay.

The current Admin Console will remain available for the foreseeable future. A small number of non-critical features are still being built out in Admin 2.0, so you'll use the current Admin v1 for those in the meantime. Both console versions include a toggle to switch between them, so you can move back and forth as needed.

Getting comfortable in the new console

We want to make sure you feel confident in Admin 2.0, so we're providing multiple ways to get up to speed:

  • In-app guides will walk you through the new interface as you explore.
  • A customer webinar will be scheduled to give you a guided tour and the chance to ask questions live.
  • All-new technical documentation – even more comprehensive than before – will be published to the docs site ahead of general availability on May 28, so you'll have full reference material before the new console goes live.

We'll share dates and details for the webinar in the coming weeks.
